Italian Open

Updated 2026-11-05

Rome’s Masters is the Italian Open, sponsored as the Internazionali BNL d’Italia. It is an outdoor clay event at Foro Italico, and in 2026 it was the place Sinner completed a Career Golden Masters.

The game page is separate from this event.

The tournament was founded in 1930. Men and women have shared the site since 2011. The 2026 window was 5–17 May, in the second week of May as usual, with a 96 / 48 / 32 draw and a reported total financial commitment of €8,235,540. The record’s infobox labels that figure prize money, but its article body separates €8,055,385 of prize money from the larger commitment; both labels are retained in the fact table.

Sinner beat Casper Ruud 6–4, 6–4 in the 2026 men’s final. That result, and the Golden Masters note, appears in two reports. Elina Svitolina won the women’s title; I have that on the season write-up and I do not stretch it further. Nadal’s ten titles from 2005 to 2021, and Djokovic’s six, are on two sources. Sinner’s career count of one Rome title is a single reading, so I label it that way.

No 2027 Rome dates were on the event site at the check. I leave the year blank. Italian readers who typed “tennis masters gioco” wanted the browser game; that page is in Italian at /it/, and this page stays the clay tournament.

Foro Italico is the venue name to use on a ticket. I do not rehost stadium photography. The official site has the current court pictures and the order of play.
