Masters 1000 records

Updated 2026-11-05

Novak Djokovic leads the Masters singles title list with 40, followed by Rafael Nadal on 36 and Roger Federer on 28. The ATP’s official account and the compiled records table agree on the seven players listed below; this is a dated record snapshot, checked 5 Nov 2026.

Andre Agassi has 17 Masters titles, Andy Murray 14, Pete Sampras 11 and Jannik Sinner 10 in the ATP report and records table. The career total and the single-season record measure different things: Guinness is cited below for Djokovic’s six-title 2015 season, rather than as a current career counter.

Most titles at one event, from that table: Nadal 11 at Monte-Carlo and 10 at Rome, Federer 7 at Cincinnati, Djokovic 7 at Paris, Djokovic and Agassi 6 at Miami, Djokovic and Federer 5 at Indian Wells, Nadal 5 at Madrid and 5 at Canada in the ATP era. Ivan Lendl won 6 in Canada before 1990, which that table keeps outside the ATP-era count. Djokovic has 4 at Shanghai. I am not going to collapse Lendl and Nadal into one Canada number.

The single-season record is six. Djokovic won Indian Wells, Miami, Monte-Carlo, Rome, Shanghai and Paris in 2015. He had won five in 2011. Nadal won five in 2013. Guinness and the records table both say this.

A Career Golden Masters means all nine current events. Djokovic finished the set in 2018 and again by 2020. Sinner finished it in 2026 at Rome, at 24, the second man and the youngest on the reports I read. Xinhua also says his run from Paris 2025 through Rome 2026 was six Masters in a row, a first. In 2026 he had won five of the nine by the check date, with Paris still unfinished.

A double crown, singles and doubles at the same Masters in the same year, is listed for Jim Courier at Indian Wells in 1991 and Nadal at Monte-Carlo in 2008. That is one table. Ages for “youngest” and “oldest” winners are generated on that same page, so I do not hard-code them.

Career singles titles, checked 5 Nov 2026. ATP and the compiled records table agree; the ATP report was published after Rome 2026.
