Miami Open

Updated 2026-11-05

Miami’s Masters is the Miami Open presented by Itaú. It is an outdoor hard-court event at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, and it is not the same week as Indian Wells even though people pair them.

A different Miami search will still find the game on the home page.

The first edition was in Delray Beach in 1985. Boca West hosted 1986. Key Biscayne held it from 1987 through 2018. Miami Gardens and Hard Rock Stadium took over in 2019. The surface name I have is outdoor hard, with Laykold named on the history page. The draw is 96 / 48 / 32 and the 2026 prize money is US$9,415,725. Dates were 17–29 Mar 2026.

The 2027 window on the event site is 14–28 Mar, and that site says the dates are subject to change. I print the warning beside the dates. I do not silently drop it.

Sinner is the 2026 men’s champion on the tournament write-up, and Sabalenka is the women’s champion on the same page. That is one publisher. I do not pretend a second desk confirmed the trophy. Djokovic and Agassi share the men’s record at six titles. That shared record is the same single table. “Sunshine Double” is the nickname for winning Indian Wells and Miami in one season. Sinner did that in 2026 according to the season page. It is a media phrase, not an ATP trophy I can point at.

A 2023 press note, cited by the history page, put attendance above 386,000 and called it one of the largest outside the Slams. One source. Since 2026 the grounds also host an ITF wheelchair WT500. I mention it so a wheelchair search is not a dead end, and I do not build that draw out.

Search volume for this event in the export I used is the weakest of the detail pages, mostly an old “2016” query. The page exists because the move from the island to the stadium is a fact people still miss, not because the keyword was large.

Questions

Is the Miami Open still on Key Biscayne?

No. Key Biscayne ended in 2018. Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens has hosted it since 2019.

Who has the most men’s titles?

Djokovic and Agassi, six each, on one records table.

Are the 2027 dates final?

The event site printed 14–28 Mar and said they are subject to change. I keep that caveat.
