Tennis Master on DS and Wii
Retail databases use Tennis Master, Tennis Masters and Power Play Tennis for DS/Wii entries with conflicting dates and credits. Match the platform and region before treating two listings as the same edition.
Nintendo Life lists Tennis Masters on Nintendo DS as a 2007 title with a System 3 credit. MobyGames has a Powerplay Tennis entry dated 23 February 2007 on DS, published by System 3 Software Limited. GameSpot instead gives Power Play Tennis a first release of 28 February 2008, lists DS and Wii, and names Mermaid Studios and System 3 as developers. These database records do not support a single unqualified release-day or studio answer.
An alternative title alone does not establish whether two records represent the same regional edition, a later release or different software. The useful identifiers are platform, territory, release date and the exact credit printed by the source. The table below preserves those differences. Publisher and developer are different roles: a System 3 publishing credit should not automatically be rewritten as a sole development credit.
The Tennis Masters browser game on the home page is a separate 2020 HTML5 title by MadPuffers, with a later Tennis Masters 2026 release. Its browser distribution and keyboard controls are documented by game portals. Neither its V/B local two-player map nor its newer X/Z map should be used as a DS or Wii control guide.
For a retro review, use a review whose platform and regional edition match the copy being discussed. A DS listing does not establish Wii features, and a database aggregate is not a review of the current web game. This guide links to the published retail records and the free browser game separately. It does not distribute cartridge images, disc files or an emulator package.
